California Adventure

 We went to Disneyland California Adventure yesterday.  It started raining before we left and we got soaked! But we had fun anyway!

A day at Disneyland!

We had a good day at Disneyland. It would have been a great day if it had not been so crowded! Long lines for every ride. Indiana Jones and Space Mountain broke down on us.  Wasted a fast pass on Indiana Jones. It was a 1 hr wait for fast pass riders when it reopened.  So we skipped it.  Had a great lunch at the New Orleans square.  Dillion enjoyed all the rides he did get to do. Tomorrow we will try to get in more little kid rides.  

We had a great day at the San Diego Safari Park. It used to be the Wild Animal Park.  We had a good time seeing the wild, and not so wild animals.  Dillion really like the bunny, it was right next to us. And they had a baby cheetah in a cage.  He laughed and laughed as it was playing.

Nayland's Blessing Day

Today we gave Laura's baby a blessing. It is customary in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to have the baby blessed by holders of the Priesthood. It is normally done at  Church. But today was not a normal church meeting, so the Bishop was able to come to our house to do it. 

It was a great day having all my girls with their spouses and all 6 grand kids! Louise mom was able to come for the weekend.  I wish my mom and sister could have been here, and I know there were here in spirit.

Christmas Dinner Japanese Style

We decided to have a Japanese dinner this year for Christmas.  This gave Louise a reason to break out all the dished she purchased while in Japan.

Ginger Bread City

Louise bought a ginger bread kit to put together this year.

Put frosting on and a little candy for the houses, and a little for us! 





Now, will it make it to Christmas before the rest of the candy disappears?

And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
